Therapy for understanding, steadiness, and meaningful change

Something needs to change. You may not yet know what— or how.

You may be caught in overthinking, struggling through a difficult transition, feeling emotionally overwhelmed or disconnected, or repeating a pattern that insight alone has not changed. I help adults understand what is keeping them stuck, reconnect with what they feel and need, and develop a meaningful way forward.

I also provide specialized therapy for the emotional, relational, and identity changes that can accompany midlife, perimenopause, and menopause.

You do not need the whole map—or complete certainty—to begin.

YOU MAY BE HERE BECAUSE…

You are experienceing:

  • You cannot stop analyzing every possible outcome.
  • You understand your patterns but keep repeating them.
  • You feel emotionally overwhelmed, numb, disconnected, or unlike yourself.
  • You are facing a change that has affected your roles, relationships, or sense of identity.
  • You feel caught between what others need and what you need.
  • You want to move forward, but part of you feels uncertain about what change may require.

Therapy can help us understand not only where a pattern came from, but what continues to hold it in place—and what may help it change.

Feeling stuck can happen for different reasons.

My approach to your care

For some people, worry, rumination, perfectionism, avoidance, or the search for certainty keeps a difficulty going. For others, earlier experiences, relationship injuries, emotional beliefs, or protective responses can make change feel unsafe—even when they understand the pattern intellectually.

The BRIDGE Framework helps us determine what kind of support may be most helpful. It provides a flexible structure for understanding what is happening, developing greater steadiness, exploring what may be holding the problem in place, clarifying what matters, and practicing new ways of responding.

Depending on your needs, our work will include an integrated individualized approach using one or more of the following evidence-based approaches:  CBT, ACT, Interpersonal Therapy, Schema Therapy, Parts Work, Flash Technique, Coherence Therapy/Memory Reconsolidation, Emotion-Focused Therapy. Metacognitive Therapy. and Interpersonal Neurobiology.

BRIDGE is not a separate therapy technique or a rigid sequence. It is the framework I use to organize individualized, collaborative therapy.
