INDIVIDUAL THERAPY FOR MEANINGFUL CHANGE
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY FOR MEANINGFUL CHANGE

I work with adults who are often thoughtful, capable, and highly self-aware—but find that understanding a problem hasn't necessarily changed it. You may know why you overthink, shut down, put other people's needs before your own, become overwhelmed, or repeat certain relationship patterns and still find yourself doing the same thing.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing individual therapy to adults in Pennsylvania, I help clients understand what may be keeping a difficulty in place and use that understanding to determine where therapeutic work may help create meaningful change.
My style is curious, direct, compassionate, and collaborative. I am active in the therapy process—I ask questions, share observations, offer ideas, and invite us to notice together what may be happening in the room and in your life. I also want you to understand what we are doing in therapy and why I believe it may be useful. Therapy should not feel like something being done to you; it should be work we are doing together.
People usually have reasons for responding the way they do—even when those responses are creating problems now. Worry, avoidance, emotional disconnection, perfectionism, over-responsibility, or difficulty trusting other people may have developed for understandable reasons or may still be serving an important function.
For me, therapy involves more than identifying where a pattern came from. Understanding helps us determine what needs attention; from there, we can work with what may be keeping the difficulty in place and create opportunities for something different to develop.
I use the BRIDGE Framework to help organize this individualized, integrative approach to therapy.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent nearly two decades as a nonprofit executive and consultant. That experience continues to shape how I think about people—not in isolation, but within relationships, families, workplaces, communities, responsibilities, and systems. It also gave me an appreciation for the complicated realities people carry—the competing roles, responsibilities, relationships, expectations, and systems that can shape both distress and the possibilities for change.
My advanced training across several therapeutic approaches allows me to adapt treatment to what you are experiencing, what may be keeping the difficulty in place, and the kind of change you are seeking.

A free 15–20-minute consultation gives us an opportunity to briefly discuss what you're experiencing, what you'd like to be different, and whether working together may be a good fit.
When I'm not working, you'll often find me spending time with family and friends, playing with my dogs, drinking coffee, working on landscaping or other home projects, participating in book clubs, or hiking.
