INDIVIDUAL THERAPY FOR MEANINGFUL CHANGE
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY FOR MEANINGFUL CHANGE
A flexible process for organizing individualized therapy
Some difficulties are maintained by worry, rumination, avoidance, perfectionism, or the search for certainty. Others may involve emotional disconnection, relationship patterns, trauma, shame, protective responses, or deeply held beliefs that make change feel unsafe.
The BRIDGE Framework is the process I use to organize our work. It helps us identify what you are experiencing, understand what may be keeping the difficulty in place, determine what needs attention, and integrate therapeutic approaches that can support meaningful change.
The process helps us consider questions such as:
The BRIDGE moves from identifying and understanding what is happening toward clarifying what matters, developing new possibilities, and learning through new experiences. We may move among these areas rather than addressing them in a prescribed order. The process is adapted to what you are experiencing, what may be keeping the difficulty in place, and what you want to be different.
BRIDGE is not a therapy modality, treatment protocol, or stand-alone clinical service. It is the flexible process I use to organize individualized, collaborative, integrative therapy.

Clarify what is happening now, how it is affecting you, and what you hope will be different.
Clarify what is happening now, how it is affecting you, and what you hope will be different.
Develop enough steadiness to think, feel, and engage with difficult experiences more safely.
Understand the thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, and protective responses maintaining the difficulty.
Clarify your needs, values, priorities, relationships, and sense of direction.
Expand your options and identify changes that feel both meaningful and workable.
Practice new responses, learn from what happens, and gradually strengthen sustainable change.
